Job Overview

As the Design Leader you will play a key role in advancing our design solutions, and in generating new ideas for both projects and for the systems we use to execute work, while maintaining enthusiasm about achieving clients' business goals through our design.
You will naturally want to excel in holistically looking at projects from various angles, working with designers, engineers and other project professionals to ensure an integrated final product. Your leadership will guide our team, clients and partners in winning and executing projects from concept through to completion by providing the direction necessary to execute project objectives.

Primary Responsibilities
  • To set direction and tell the story of the design and work closely with design team to refine and augment
  • Prepare, deliver and win design presentation opportunities for new medium- large sized projects on a consistent basis
  • Lead concept design and storytelling with a cross disciplinary team to define new experiences and opportunities for our clients
  • Brainstorm with in-house strategic planners to consider new solutions that address cultural opportunities in each project and redefine our understanding of every day paradigms
  • Lead and mentor a team of designers to develop client solutions and solve complex problems
  • Interface consistently and proactively with clients to ensure a smooth project delivery from inception to closure
  • Establish and maintain a high level of trust between the project team, client and other project stakeholders
  • Supervises the work and progress of Design team drawings, studies, specifications and other project tasks on multiple projects
  • Mentor and coach junior designers to enhance teamwork and skill-building
  • Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to share design and construction expertise in order to create inventive, well-crafted environments
  • Perform additional responsibilities necessary to help achieve business and/or project goals

  • 10+ years of experience in workplace interior design or architecture
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design or other related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
  • Strong presence in the market, active engagement in industry events
  • A portfolio of signature conceptual design work, including some large workplace
    transformation projects

  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to change priorities quickly
  • Able to work entrepreneurially as well as in a collaborative team
  • Able to communicate and work effectively with senior leadership and members of our global team
  • Able to move from small project to big picture perspective in order to develop a holistic strategy geared toward design deliverables
