Project Manager - Workplace Interiors

M Moser Associates award winning New York City office is hiring a Project Manager to manage large scale workplace transformation projects. Your job as our successful Sr. Project Manager is to ensure key client projects are delivered on time, within budget and within scope.

Job Overview

Your job as a Project Manager - Workplace Interiors with M Moser Associates is a leadership position where you will be responsible for managing assigned, large-scale, workplace interior and design-build projects from inception to completions. You will be involved in all design phases, client interaction, scheduling and financial performance. It is your job to coordinate all efforts involving the internal project team, subcontractors, vendors, clients, etc. to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills, adjusting to changing priorities from various directives, and communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned large scale workplace design and design/build projects, ensuring all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Ascertain resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders, interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
  • Take a lead role in clearly defining and communicating all aspects of project scope and objectives, ensuring technical feasibility
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Interact with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
  • Liaise with construction professionals about the feasibility of potential projects
  • Travel regularly to building sites, proposed locations and client meetings

Qualifications & Key Competencies

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in project leadership, including the delivery of at several mid-large scale innovative work places
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design or other related field, preferred
  • LEED accreditation and familiarity with the Design-Build process, preferred
  • Experience with the entire project lifecycle, from pre-lease services through post-occupancy
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and MS Office
  • Exemplary skills in dealing with people, able to work with and manage teams
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
  • Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship manager skills
  • Able to communicate and work effectively with senior leadership and members of our global team
  • An active presence in the A&D community
