Senior Workplace Designer

M Moser Associates’ San Francisco office is hiring a Senior Workplace Designer with extensive workplace interiors project experience and a beautiful portfolio of awe-inspiring conceptual designs.

As the Senior Workplace Designer in this highly creative role you will have the ability to generate original ideas and consider a design’s impact from the individual to the urban context. You will play a key role in advancing design solutions while also maintaining enthusiasm about achieving the client’s business goals.

You will lead concept designs and storytelling to define new experiences and opportunities for M Moser’s clients. You will work collaboratively with our teams of architects, interior designers and contractors through all project stages into design documentation and construction administration.

Primary Responsibilities

  • To set direction and tell the story of the design and work closely with design lead to refine and augment
  • Prepare, deliver and win design presentation opportunities for new medium- large sized projects on a consistent basis
  • Lead concept design and storytelling with a cross disciplinary team to define new experiences and opportunities for our clients
  • Brainstorm with in-house Strategists to consider new solutions that address cultural opportunities in each project and redefine our understanding of every day paradigms
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior designers to develop design solutions and solve complex problems; encourage skill-building and foster teamwork
  • Interface consistently and proactively with clients to ensure a smooth project delivery from inception to closure
  • Establish and maintain a high level of trust between the project team, client and other project stakeholders
  • Supervises work and progress of the design team’s drawings, studies, specifications and other project tasks on multiple projects
  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to share design and construction expertise in order to create inventive, well-crafted environments

  • 10+ years of experience in workplace interior design or architecture
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design or another related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), InDesign
  • Strong presence in the market, active engagement in industry events
  • A portfolio of signature conceptual design work, including some large workplace transformation projects
  • Strong presence in the market, active engagement at industry events
