Senior Designer

M Moser Associates San Francisco is hiring a talented Senior Designer with extensive workplace interiors project experience and a beautiful portfolio of awe-inspiring conceptual designs, to take a lead design role, guiding our project teams to win and execute some of the most notable workplace transformation projects in the business!

Job Overview

This is a CREATIVE position and we are looking for a Senior Designer who is inspired by generating original ideas and considering design impact on multiple scales, from the individual to the urban context. As M Moser Associates Senior Designer, you will play a key role in advancing our design solutions while maintaining enthusiasm about achieving client’s business goals. It will be your job to lead the pre-schematic design process, working closely with clients and providing the direction necessary to team members to execute projects once they are won!

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project teams and other consultants to uncover integrated, innovative, and interdisciplinary solutions to design problems
  • Consult with clients to establish design concepts and parameters, including how space will function, budget considerations, and aesthetic preferences
  • Set the direction and tell the story of the design, working closely with Project Lead to refine and augment
  • Generate conceptual designs using a variety of graphic techniques, including hand-drawn and computer-generated visuals, and work with Project Manager to prepare preliminary cost estimates
  • Prepare and pitch winning design solutions to M Moser’s clients, continuously using your one-of-kind talent and admirable work ethic to help bring in new business and/or encourages repeat business
  • Establish and maintain trust between the project team, client and other project stakeholders
  • Monitor and maintain a high level of design quality within the project team, including mentoring and coaching junior designers to enhance teamwork and skill-building.

Qualifications & Key Competencies

  • 10+ years of experience in workplace interior design or architecture
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design or another related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), InDesign
  • Strong presence in the market, active engagement in industry events
  • A portfolio of signature conceptual design work, including some large workplace transformation projects
  • Experience and confidence in creating and delivering design pitches to corporate clients that win business.
  • Exceptional client management and project delivery abilities, effectively contributing to multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience and expertise in maintaining design integrity from design concept to on-site construction
  • Impressive track record of happy clients
  • Knowledge of local codes and permitting
