M Moser Associates San Francisco is hiring a talented Interior Designer with extensive workplace project experience and a beautiful portfolio of awe-inspiring conceptual designs, to contribute to the design and delivery of some of the most notable workplace transformation projects in the business!

Job Overview
This is a CREATIVE position and we are looking for an Workplace Designer who is inspired by generating original ideas and considering design impact on multiple scales, from the individual to the urban context. As an integral member of our Project Team, we will reply on your abilities and unmatched talent for conceptual design and storytelling in the early stages of our projects, partnering closely with senior design leaders to create enchanting, intuitive, effective, one-of-a-kind design solutions that win clients’ business! You will actively participate in client interviews and will become a trusted confidant for clients once the work is won through to the end of the project lifecycle. As the project moves into design development, you will leverage your close relationship with the client and your exceptional detailing skills, to help guide the design team in the delivery of the physical, social and digital environments that enable the business transformations of global organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the story of the design and work closely with design lead to refine and augment
  • Consulting with clients to establish design concepts and parameters, including how space will function, budget considerations, and aesthetic preferences
  • To be a hands on designer who is able and excited to create the design materials needed (story-telling, conceptual ideas and sketches, modelling and illustration, design documentation, etc.)
  • Generating conceptual designs using a variety of graphic techniques, including hand-drawn and computer-generated visuals, and work with Project/Cost Manager to prepare preliminary cost estimates
  • Presenting design concepts to team members and clients for approval
  • Preparing written specifications, working drawings, and construction documents, including verification that designs meet applicable building codes where necessary
  • Delivering and winning design presentation opportunities for new medium sized projects on a regular basis
  • Establishing and maintaining trust between the project team, client and other project stakeholders
  • Problem-solving project design issues and applying inventive solutions

Qualifications & Key Competencies
  • 5+ years of work experience contributing to workplace interior design projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design or other related field
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), InDesign
  • A portfolio of signature conceptual design work including at least 2 or 3 workplace transformation projects
  • Experience and confidence in creating and delivering design pitches to corporate clients
  • Exceptional client management and project delivery abilities, effectively contributing to multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience and expertise in maintaining design integrity from design concept to on-site construction
  • Impressive track record of happy clients
  • Knowledge of local codes and permitting processes and requirements
