Citi launches into "wellness" with their M Moser-designed Hong Kong headquarters
Designed by M Moser, the 327,294 sq.ft multi-storey headquarters, Citi Tower One Bay East, is the first-ever Citi project to gain WELL Pre-certification. Along with other recent M Moser-led Citi projects in Shanghai, Hong Kong and India, the Citi Tower marks a fresh approach by the bank in promoting health, happiness and productivity among its people.
The recently completed 7,000 sq.ft Citi Fitness Centre is just one element of this new wellness emphasis. Featuring cardio, resistance and functional training zones, a studio for group classes, a personal training room, male and female changing rooms complete with shower cubicles and lockers, the Citi Fitness Centre also offers a whole range of “Live Well” facilities for Citi staff. The facility enables the bank’s staff to “invest in themselves”, enhancing their health as well as their decision-making abilities.
The launch was attended by Stephen Bird, Global Consumer Banking CEO and Live Well at Citi Global Champion; Weber Lo, Citi Country Officer & CEO, HK & Macau; Angel Ng, HK Country Business Manager; Ashish Bajaj, Citi Commercial Bank AP Head; Anson Kwok, Citi Commercial Bank HK Head; and Rajat Banerjee, Citi Realty Services AP Head. M Moser’s WELL AP Dr Christine Bruckner and other M Moser representatives were also present for the ceremony.
During the event, a Silver level WELL pre-certification was presented to Citi as a nod to its dedication in following WELL’s benchmark built environment measures that impact human health and well-being, in terms of air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and mind.
