Teach for America offices - Washington DC
Teach For America’s (“TFA”) regional hub was outgrowing its space in multiple buildings in downtown Washington, before deciding to consolidate its staff in a new building at Progression Place in the Shaw neighbourhood. Several other affiliated groups also co-located into this new space, which was designed to be collaborative and support new ways of working.
The space provides a variety of settings for small group meetings, as well as larger rooms equipped with videoconferencing capabilities to support TFA’s regional network. Individual spaces incorporate height adjustability at each desk to accommodate staff preferences. To echo its mission, the hub location was transformed into an old-fashioned school house. The design incorporates TFA branding colours and materials such as weathered wood to reflect the heritage of the school house.
