As part of Business Of Design Week (BODW) 20/21, Group Managing Director, John Sellery joined “Melting the Boundary: Live/Work” in an interactive panel discussion on the new workplace culture imperative.

Exploring the workplace as a vehicle for production and a shifting culture where people become the key driver, Sellery highlighted the following transitions:

  • The Open Office: where the value was put on real estate
  • Activity-Based Working: where the value is put on the work
  • Behaviour Based Design: where the value is put on the people who do the work.

Emphasising how the purpose of the office has been irrevocably changed, Sellery shared the importance of innovation, culture, new forms of leadership and psychological safety in order to achieve business success.
