The CoreNet Global China Chapter recently hosted its “Design the Future” forum, bringing together industry leaders to discuss how workplaces are evolving. We were invited to join the event, where Director of Workplace Strategy, Jason Chiang, gave a keynote to explore the transition from traditional office “blueprints” to experience-driven environments. He also joined a panel discussion to exchange insights on the future of work.
Jason highlighted the accelerating shift in workplace: from fixed, standardised layouts to flexible, people-centred environments. He noted that evolving talent strategies, rapid advances in technology and the deepening attention to emotional wellbeing are driving this change. Modern offices have evolved into dynamic spaces that address employees’ diverse needs. They go beyond functionality to support both wellbeing and business success.
To illustrate his points, Jason drew on our work with SAP on its Shanghai workplace, which also served as the venue for the CoreNet China Forum. Reimagined by our team, the space responds to SAP’s future growth needs while addressing long-standing operational challenges.
