We recently had the pleasure of hosting a group of high school and university students from Hong Kong at our Shanghai office, in collaboration with a charitable organisation, Sowers Action. The visit gave students from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to experience a real workplace and imagine new possibilities for their future careers.

More than an office tour, the session was a hands-on, cross-generational and cross-disciplinary exchange. In an open, welcoming setting, the students explored our work environments and saw how thoughtful design can support collaboration, wellbeing and productivity daily.

Team members from across disciplines led interactive sessions on the following topics:

  • From vision to reality: behind the scenes of workplace creation

Through real project examples, we shared the journey of creating a workplace. From early strategy and design thinking to engineering and final delivery. Students discovered how a well-designed space can support business goals while enhancing wellbeing, engagement and sense of belonging.

  • Exploring possibilities: diverse career pathways

We introduced students to different roles across workplace strategy, design, project management and engineering. They were encouraged to reflect on their own strengths and interests, and see how teamwork across disciplines helps create meaningful spaces.

  • Empowered by technology: tools for smarter work

We shared how emerging tools like AI, are transforming the way we work. From enhancing efficiency to supporting quality and creativity, students were encouraged to see technology as a tool for lifelong learning and innovation.

  • Inclusive progress: leadership and entrepreneurship

Inspired by the story of our founder, Moira Moser, we explored how leadership is evolving. Students reflected on different perspectives continue to redefine success in the modern workplace.

Young people need real and diverse examples to explore what’s possible for their future. We hope our own experiences inspired them. In return, their fresh perspective sparked new thinking for us. This exchange was truly mutually enriching.

The visit gave students deeper insight into what it takes to shape effective, people-focused workplaces and helped them connect with their own potential. At M Moser, we remain committed to two-way learning experiences that support the next generation and drive shared progress across our industry.
