Addressing future business goals

During a four-week discovery phase, the M Moser team immersed themselves in CIFC’s organisational culture. Through this process, they were able to identify the settings that would enable people to perform at their best.

Driven by the COOCEO, and extended business unit heads, the project team facilitated interviews with stakeholders and key user groups to understand their work activities and needs.

The setting solutions derived from this research were aligned with the C-Suite’s program requirements and presented to the executive committee for feedback.

CIFC came to us with a clear vision of how they wanted to work, creating a transparent partnership from the start of the project.” - Kristina Piccoli, Senior Project Leader at M Moser Associates.

Fostering inclusivity to boost performance

Understanding the types of work being undertaken was crucial to designing an effective workplace. Serving as a critical piece of workplace culture, the space supports CIFC’s daily investment meeting with a 20-person conference table in the heart of the open office.

Learnings from the workplace strategy emphasised the value of fostering an inclusive and transparent culture. Removing hierarchy to focus on delivering the best results for clients, the conference table promotes interaction and knowledge sharing.

An all-hands space on the edge of the conference table and open-office provides a social place for employees to gather each morning to discuss daily earnings and future goals. The area also doubles as a casual space for breaks away from the desk.

Blending work and life

The pantry is a large connective hub in which people can gather, celebrate and socialise. Embracing natural textures and a neutral colour palette, the space brings in views from the surrounding cityscape, extending a sense of calm into the work areas.

A smaller adjacent room features a high-top table and private booth for focused work and casual meetings.

Supporting health and wellness

A defined pathway through the office loops from the reception, past meeting rooms and trading areas, all-hands space and open workspaces into the pantry. This immersive user journey promotes moving meetings and casual collisions, encouraging exercise and conversation to enhance knowledge sharing.

A full-service private gym features bathrooms with showers and other amenities, encouraging employees to prioritise their health. The workplace also includes a games room with ping-pong and a football table to enhance team bonding and provide time away from the screen. Stocked with healthy snacks, the pantry supports team interaction, health, and wellness.

Demonstrating design and build excellence

Showcasing the firm’s quality care for clients and staff alike, amenities such as the gym and games room are renowned for their high-end design.

Shifting away from CIFC’s traditional branding and colours, the design focuses on incorporating softer tones, healthy lighting, greenery and inclusivity.

Due to delays in the move date of the previous tenant, the construction was limited to a compact schedule. The M Moser team worked hard to ensure that the project was delivered at the highest quality despite a condensed time frame.

“Partnering with M Moser Associates allowed us to create a workplace that not only inspires our team to collaborate and communicate more, but also to strengthen our community and culture.”
