Multiples Mumbai workplace

We are proud to share that our recent work with Multiples on its new Mumbai office has been recognised with a Shaw Contract Design Award — Best of Region, India. The project reflects our shared vision to create a workplace that balances precision and performance with a distinctive sense of place, demonstrating the company’s ambition and its strong connection with the city of Mumbai.

Multiples Mumbai pantry space

The project began with a clear ambition: to create a space that supports a culture of precision and performance while expressing the organisation’s identity and connect deeply to the local context. Our team started by understanding how the Multiples team connects, collaborates and finds focus.

We grounded the design concept in Mayanagari, Mumbai’s local name, meaning the “City of Dreams” and translated its character into how the office works and looks. Its layered density, coastal calm and social energy informed our approach to spatial rhythm. We organised the plan as a series of neighbourhoods, visually connected through open sightlines.

We designed the work zones to feel calm and ordered: spaces with clear lines, natural light and minimal visual noise that help people focus without distraction. As people move outward, the energy gradually builds, transitioning into social and collaborative areas that support teamwork and exchange. Private offices and meeting rooms sit along the daylight perimeters, while vibrant shared zones and informal lounges foster connection and transparency. The cafeteria acts as the social heart of the workplace, encouraging moments of community and pause.

Biophilic elements such as planting, together with natural materials and light, support wellbeing and comfort. Materiality carries that same balance between focus and warmth. Textured plaster, terracotta, cane and terrazzo bring tactility and a sense of place, while refined detailing reflects the precision and conviction of the Multiples brand. The palette balances earthy reds and oranges with deep blues and natural tones, mirroring the dual character of Mumbai: vibrant and grounded.
