We are pleased to share that two of our recent projects have been recognised for excellent working environment at the 12th CREDAWARD. The Gartner Beijing workplace received a Silver Award, while AstraZeneca’s new R&D Centre in Shanghai received a Merit Award. We celebrated these achievements with our clients at the ceremony, where AstraZeneca also received the Industry Contribution Award.

Gartner’s Beijing relocation called for an efficient, adaptable workplace that upheld its global standards and supported diverse business needs. Working with the client’s project lead in Singapore, our Beijing team combined design, engineering and construction management, supporting the project from site assessments and technical due diligence through to implementation and handover.
Within 14,682 sq ft, a central reception hub connects active and quiet zones for focused work, collaboration and client interaction. The team coordinated acoustic separation and transfer air with existing chilled ceilings and underfloor air distribution to address privacy, ventilation and thermal comfort. Meeting technology supports global collaboration, while artworks, materials and wayfinding give the workplace a distinct Beijing identity.
Our integrated approach enabled efficient delivery while meeting Gartner’s global quality and performance requirements. Furniture reuse, low-emission materials and smart lighting support resource efficiency and indoor environmental quality, while adjustable workstations support employee comfort. The project achieved WELL Gold and RESET Air certification, with continuous air-quality monitoring linked to purification equipment supporting ongoing management of the indoor environment.
AstraZeneca R&D Centre Shanghai: Bringing zero-carbon ambitions into everyday experience
As AstraZeneca’s first net-zero workplace project, our work at its Global Strategic R&D Centre in Shanghai sets a benchmark for sustainable workplace delivery across the company’s global portfolio. We brought together design, engineering and sustainability expertise to translate the client’s ambitions into a flexible workplace that supports collaboration, employee wellbeing and efficient operation.
Power-generating flooring and kinetic bikes allow employees to generate energy through movement, with real-time dashboards making their contributions visible. Our teams integrated these features with energy storage and controls, addressing durability, system reliability and user comfort. Low-carbon materials, efficient building systems and construction waste reduction supported the project’s wider zero-carbon goals.
Full-spectrum intelligent lighting, air quality monitoring and acoustic optimisation support everyday comfort, while flexible work settings accommodate changing collaboration needs. Energy, water and carbon data provide the client’s teams with a basis for monitoring performance and refining operations over time.
These recognitions acknowledge what both projects achieved: workplaces shaped around the distinct needs, identities and priorities of the organisations they serve.
