Tapping into the unrealised potential of existing space

Real Estate Developer,
San Francisco

The main objectives of this renovation and reconfiguration project were to tap into the unrealised potential of the firm’s existing space, and design new elements that could help the firm speaks to its growing tech client base.

M Moser performed observational studies, interviews and workshops to gain insight as to why certain challenges in the space were occurring and solved them through the design. A mix of collaborative settings, including a fireplace lounge, library and café, were creatively reinterpreted from residential space types to address the firm’s desire to relate to and engage with its clients.

Changing challenge to advantage

The new design concept changed the axis of the space, allowing the triangular shaped floorplan to become an asset rather than a challenge. Anchored by an eclectic café on one end and a cosy library space on the other, the once disjointed layout now encourages movement and conversation. A branded and layered arrival and entry experience creates a welcoming area for clients and employees alike. The space provides a true balance of collaborative and focused settings to accommodate all work styles and requirements.
