Celebrating innovation and creativity, the Australian Good Design Awards is a prestigious accolade recognising excellence in the industry for over six decades. The jury honoured our work with JCDecaux, GSK and TikTok in the Architectural Design category. Director, Wendy Leung and the Australian team celebrated with the winning project clients as they received the award during the grand ceremony.
Each project was carefully reviewed by over 80 distinguished jurors from across the globe, who recognised the innovative solutions we delivered.
The jury praised JCDecaux for ‘successfully reflecting a global brand within a local context. The design’s smart use of space, reduced carbon footprint and the creation of inspiring collaborative areas showcase a thoughtful approach to modern office environments.’
When commenting on TikTok’s new Sydney workplace, the jury highlighted the project for the effective implementation of global design principles within a local context. They noted that the integration of Indigenous art and custom murals, combined with well-considered spatial planning, enhances collaboration and creativity. The project was highlighted as an outstanding example of uniting art, technology and people.
GSK’s new Melbourne workplace was recognised for its emphasis on wellness and inclusivity. The biophilic design, incorporating natural materials, creates a flexible and functional environment that fosters collaboration. It accommodates diverse work styles, reflecting a strong commitment to people and the plane.
The design of a workspace plays a critical role in how people interact, collaborate and feel connected to a company’s values and goals. The workplace experience can be dramatically enhanced through integrated technology, occupancy data and a choice of work-settings to support diversity and inclusion.
