Steve Gale, Head of Technology

Head of Technology Strategy

Steve is Head of Technology Strategy, leveraging over 40 years of experience in architecture, strategy consulting and technology, crafting workplace solutions for global clients.

As a full RIBA member and registered architect under ARB, Steve has overseen the design of buildings from concept to completion within over 20 years of private practice across regions including Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the US. His strategy consulting has helped clients redefine the demands on their people and real estate.

Steve now focuses on the intelligent use of data to meet workplace requirements – building data-led frameworks that connect people, place and technology. This includes defining infrastructures, devices, analysis, using artificial intelligence and machine learning as tools to improve design briefs, efficiency and sustainability.

As a respected thought leader on integrated project delivery (IPD) and data-informed workplace strategy, Steve has published extensively, presented at international conferences and collaborated with Georgia Tech on a pivotal 2020 research paper. Steve was also the recipient of the 2022 Henry Pugh Award.

He advocates for rethinking the traditional project lifecycle in favour of continuous service delivery, suggesting, “Integrated delivery should evolve into a continuous, service-based model, where we treat workplaces more like digital platforms than static physical outcomes.”
