We’re proud to announce that PwC Canada’s Toronto headquarters has been recognised with a 2025 ARIDO Award in the Work category (20,000–50,000 sq ft)!
The ARIDO Awards, presented by the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO), celebrate design excellence across Ontario, honouring projects that elevate the built environment while advancing creativity, inclusion, and sustainability.
For PwC Toronto, the goal was clear – create a flagship workplace that redefines how the firm works in a post-pandemic world. The new 46,715 sq ft space delivers flexibility, inclusivity and performance anchored by PwC Canada’s evolving brand identity and supported by M Moser’s integrated design, strategy and brand expertise.
PwC sought to transform its Canadian portfolio with a human-centred, scalable design that could adapt to regional and user-specific needs. Our team delivered:
Human-centred, regionally tailored design: Flexible spaces rooted in real behaviours and cultural context.
Scalable standards: A national workplace playbook to unify brand and performance across locations.
Enhanced user experience: Prioritising autonomy, wellbeing and accessibility with biophilia, daylight and ergonomic solutions.
Innovation and collaboration: Tech-rich, hybrid-ready zones to support teamwork.
Future-ready flexibility: Modular, multifunctional environments designed to evolve with the business.
Acoustic performance was a central focus, creating a calm environment even at scale. The ‘Golden Thread’ brand concept, developed with PwC’s global team, connects the Toronto office with other locations through subtle, sensory cues, blending brand identity with regional character.
Hospitality-forward amenities such as a barista bar, adaptable lounges, and a fully flexible, AV-integrated event space further reinforce PwC’s culture of connection and innovation.
Inclusive and sustainable design was embedded from the start. Accessibility was guided by the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification (RHFAC), resulting in barrier-free circulation, inclusive signage and innovative contrast glazing co-developed with PwC Canada.
Sustainability goals informed material selection, low-VOC, recycled, FSC-certified, and biophilic elements, to support occupant wellbeing and reduce environmental impact.
Since opening, PwC Toronto has reported increased office utilisation and attendance, with employees empowered by autonomy, comfort and technology integration. The workplace is now a model for future PwC offices across Canada, balancing consistency with regional character.
This project has delivered significant value to PwC’s business, with increased utilisation, employee engagement and the ability to host large-scale client events.
Miyoshi Irizawa, Managing Director, Real Estate, PwCWinning an ARIDO Award affirms the impact of this transformation and celebrates a design that positions PwC Canada at the forefront of workplace innovation.
We extend our gratitude to our incredible project partners whose collaboration brought this vision to life, and congratulate all of this year’s ARIDO Award winners for their outstanding contributions to design excellence.
