One of London’s most complex workplace transformations is now a finalist at the Mix Awards 2026.
Standard Chartered’s headquarters has been shortlisted for “Project of the Year – Workplace Interiors 70k+ sq ft”.
We worked with the bank to transform the headquarters while 1,200 colleagues remained in place and ensured trading continued throughout the refurbishment.
Together, we redefined the workplace from a legacy desk-heavy environment into a more connected experience. Today, the headquarters better supports collaboration, flexibility and stronger client engagement.
The success of 1 Basinghall Avenue came from teams working together with clarity, resilience and shared ambition throughout.

From the outset, strong partnership and a clear shared vision drove the project. As lead consultant and single point of design accountability, we coordinated more than 50 consultants while aligning programme, design intent and delivery across the wider team.
We also want to thank our project partners, including Overbury, CBRE and JLL, who played a key role in bringing the transformation to life.
The Mix Awards continue to recognise projects that push workplace design forward through innovation, experience and performance.
