Scaling a trading environment within a live asset

Global financial firm, Tel Aviv

We partnered with a global financial firm to deliver a new 10,300 sq ft workplace in Tel Aviv, expanding in-situ through an integrated design and build approach.

By securing an additional floor within the same building, we expanded the client’s footprint without the cost and disruption of relocation. This move creates near-term capacity for growth while keeping the team within a familiar, proven setting.

At a glance

  1. Delivering expansion within a live asset while managing disruption.
  2. Engineering resilient trading infrastructure for high power and data demand.
  3. Providing cross-border delivery governance to protect programme and quality.

Expanding within the portfolio

After successfully delivering the earlier Tel Aviv office, the client reappointed our team to support its next phase of growth.

The original workplace occupied part of a shared floor, limiting the client’s ability to expand. Securing a dedicated floor unlocked additional capacity without the cost and disruption of relocation.

By scaling the established workplace framework, the team extended planning standards, technology integration and ergonomic principles across a larger floorplate, maintaining portfolio consistency while accelerating delivery.

Planning for performance and proximity

The layout brings trading and support functions into closer proximity, reducing operational friction and strengthening day-to-day coordination between teams. We carefully tested adjacencies to support efficient collaboration.

Positioning meeting rooms and support spaces around the building core frees the perimeter for desk-based trading. Clear circulation routes support efficient movement across the floor without disrupting focused work.

Security zoning separates critical trading functions while maintaining visibility and connectivity, balancing operational control with team collaboration.

Alongside formal conference rooms, the workplace introduces informal settings for interviews, one-to-one discussions and client meetings. Expanded amenities, including a larger café and additional breakout areas, support increased headcount while maintaining the high specification standard.

Infrastructure built for resilience

We engineered the trading environment to support high power and data demand, integrating additional capacity to accommodate future growth without major reconfiguration.

UPS provision operates alongside primary and secondary communications rooms, reducing exposure to power or data interruption and supporting continuous operation. A dedicated IT build room allows systems to be configured and upgraded independently of the live environment.

We aligned the design with local building regulations, coordinating finishes, fixed furniture and service routes in detail.

Coordinated delivery across geographies

With key stakeholders based in London, we governed the project centrally and coordinated delivery with local partners in Tel Aviv.

As the scope evolved, we provided additional construction oversight to maintain alignment with design intent, programme and technical standards.

Weekly 3D site scans enabled the London team to review MEP coordination, communications rooms and specialist infrastructure remotely. This digital workflow supported faster decision-making, reduced the risk of installation errors and maintained quality control across time zones.

A workplace shaped by context

While maintaining the client’s global workplace standards, the design responds to the local setting. Material selections and tonal variation reflect the building’s orientation, introducing subtle shifts across the floorplate.

West-facing areas reference the nearby coastline through lighter tones and textured finishes. East-facing zones introduce drier, muted palettes. Southern areas incorporate greener accents inspired by surrounding landscapes.

These variations create a more engaging environment for employees while preserving alignment with the firm’s wider portfolio.
