Golong is a leading consumer healthcare and anti-aging technology group. To support its growing portfolio and closer brand collaboration, the company relocated to a new self-owned headquarters. This was an exciting opportunity to create a future-ready innovation centre.
Our integrated services, spanning strategy, engineering, design and delivery, helped create a cohesive digital fashion headquarters. The space supports multiple brands, functions and hybrid working within a single building.
As Golong’s brand portfolio grew, the company needed a central platform that could bring together brand collaboration, product showcases and a mix of functions within one workplace. The key challenge was how to organise multiple brands and overlapping uses within a single building, so that different teams and scenarios could operate while still feeling connected.
In response, we developed the idea of a “vertical community”, guided by openness, collaboration and flexibility. Each floor is a distinct yet connected unit, with clear planning and connections between spaces to create a coherent experience.
At the same time, the workplace combines open collaboration areas, brand display zones and quieter leadership spaces to balance privacy, focus and day-to-day interaction. Level 4 features meeting rooms, exhibition areas and a spa experience room to support external presentations and immersive brand experiences. Level 9 functions as the main workplace for daily collaboration and operations, while Level 10 focuses on executive leadership and the client reception area. With more refined materials and greater privacy, this floor supports decision-making and high-level engagement.
With multiple floors, brands and functions running in parallel, the project called for a high level of coordination from the start. We brought design, engineering and structural teams together early. This allowed us to consider spatial experience, technical logic and delivery feasibility within one integrated framework:
MEP and structural teams worked alongside designers early in the process to optimise ceiling heights, diffuser placement and lighting systems. This created earlier alignment between design intent and engineering requirements, reducing later adjustments.
The lobby, Level 4 and Level 8 adopt an integrated architectural and MEP approach. Our team brought air diffusers, lighting and sprinklers into one coordinated language through exposed beams and ceiling-integrated building systems. This preserves openness while creating a more ordered environment, with better airflow and easier access for maintenance.
In addition, the project integrates intelligent lighting control, IoT sensors and a digital visitor management system. Meeting spaces also include voice control and multi-screen collaboration tools. All the workplace technology at Golong Innovation Center supports day-to-day operations and seamless remote collaboration.
This integrated approach reduced the need for revisions and accelerated decision-making. It also meant we could balance workplace experience needs, technical performance and day-to-day operations.
The innovation centre turns Golong’s brand into a spatial experience. It draws on nature, technology and growth while reflecting Hangzhou’s ties to water and landscape. Across arrival, display, collaboration and reception areas, the workplace builds a clear identity that feels distinctive while staying connected to its context.
We also built the workplace to adapt. Modular planning and flexible strategies allow it to evolve over time. Meeting rooms and collaboration areas use movable partitions, making change and expansion easier so the space can grow with the business and respond to new needs.
M Moser translated our brand aspirations and practical needs into a clear spatial experience. The new headquarters has brought positive change in how we express our identity, support collaboration and improve overall comfort.
