Point72 achieves first pre-certified WELL project in Hudson Yards development
We’re delighted to recognise the first pre-certified International WELL Building Standard (WELL) project in Hudson Yards for client, Point72 Asset Management L.P.(Point72). Incorporating health and wellness into the design, 55 Hudson Yards will meet a new sustainable building standard, assessing the building’s clean air and water, healthy nutritional options, flexible office design, ergonomics, and acoustics.
Following the success of the New York space, Point72 continues to partner with M Moser to pursue further WELL Certifications at office space in Stamford, Connecticut and the “design and build” of its new Hong Kong workplace.
Gregory McGee, Global Head of Facilities at Point72, said, “We believe having a modern, innovative space designed to support the health and wellbeing of our employees is an important part of our Mission to be the industry’s premier asset management firm. Taking steps to make sure we meet the high standards set by WELL is just one way we are affirming that commitment.”
WELL merges best practices in design and construction with evidence-based medical and scientific research. WELL Certification is third-party administered through the International Well Building Institute (IWBI) in collaboration with Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), which also administers the global green building program, LEED.
M Moser’s Dr. Christine Bruckner concludes, “It’s a pleasure to work with Point72 in embracing health and wellness in workplace design. We look forward to the continued global collaboration”.
